I imagine I could have over-ridden that to make it a conventional text field but I missed that opportunity. To clarify, the fillable PDF that TDW put on their site didn't have an electronically-signable signature field, however, when I converted RBCDI's similar printable form into fillable Acrobat made that signature field electronically-signable without asking. Even though you can print these protected pdf's to a real printer, they won't print to a virtual printer.

The only failure of this program has been in trying to 'print' protected pdfs to another pdf file. I use it for business purposes, so I paid the $50 or so to avoid getting the extra page at the end of the file that the free version appends. The most valuable software on my computer.
